Getting Children Outside 101: Early Childhood Educators fall workshop

Saturday, November 8th, 2025

9:00 am – 12:00 pm MT

Based on Teton Science Schools’ Jackson Campus (700 Coyote Canyon Road, Jackson, Wyoming, 83001)

Price: $20

Join us for a morning of exploring the Why and How of getting children outside and connected to their natural environment. We will dive into the reasons why it is so important for children’s development to play and engage with the natural world as we discuss and share helpful systems, tools and materials that can support teachers to do this successfully. Find inspiration and connection with other early childhood educators as we learn, engage and play with a variety of materials, provocations and studio mediums in the outdoors and discuss with others successes and challenges that come with this work.

You will also have the opportunity to learn more about how you can bring the outdoors inside and how we can connect what children are curious about in nature to the curriculum we are doing in the classroom.

Snacks, coffee, and tea will be provided.  Three STARS hours are available for participants.
