May and early June is such an exciting time with all of the dramatic phenological changes. Aspen leaves are expanding from buds, charismatic mega-fauna giving birth, aquatic insects emerging from rivers, migrant birds returning to the Valley, the Snake River rising and carving new channels, and Wildlife Expeditions’ new seasonal biologists are training. Allow me to introduce our new summer seasonal biologist staff including Christine Bittinger, Danielle Fagre, Erik Nelson, Maggie Jordan, Melissa Georges, Mike Lillrose, Sarah Ernst, and Stephanie Kane. Each has arrived with very strong ecological, geological and teaching backgrounds. I always enjoy being involved with training new staff, as the organization is injected with fresh ideas, outlook and tons of energy. Welcome to the Teton Science Schools Team.
