Gabrielle is a native New Yorker who graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a double major in Communication and Spanish. In the years after graduation, she moved to Korea and later Poland to teach English to elementary and preschool-aged students. She spent the last year teaching online, visiting five continents, and only getting stung by a jellyfish once. Gabrielle chose to come back to the United States to teach with AmeriCorps and add place-based learning into her pedagogical practices. In her free time, you can find her practicing yoga, learning to play piano, or plan her next backpacking trip.
