Classrooms Can Be Outdoors

Bring your students into one of nature’s most incredible classrooms—the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Teton Science Schools provides year-round programming for student groups from across the country. We design programs with education and fun in mind. Collaborate with our experienced staff to develop a three- to seven-day program that meets your needs, interests and objectives.

Get Started

"This is the ideal setting for the type of knowledge that cannot be forgotten. Myself and my students will leave here with that fire in our hearts that compels us to be better leaders, stewards, and field scientists."
Tammy Walker, Uinta Meadows Chaperone

Time-Tested Education

For over 50 years, Teton Science Schools has provided meaningful educational experiences for students of all ages. At the core of our programming is high-quality, place-based instruction. We teach to state and national science standards, including Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and our skilled instructors are trained in the CASEL framework for social and emotional learning. We believe great programs are student-centered, standards-based, safety-conscious and fun!

Our Campuses

Our programs are staged at our Jackson or Kelly campus. Students live in dormitory-style buildings on the Jackson Campus or in rustic cabins on the Kelly Campus. Residential programs typically start at fourth grade, but we occasionally accommodate younger groups.

Learn Alongside Your Students

Get the most out of your time at Teton Science Schools. Enroll in a professional teacher development program focused on place-based education during your school’s visit. The Introduction to Place-Based Education program includes an evening program, a day of observations (while fulfilling chaperone responsibilities) and a closing reflection session.
