Nicole Fordree

AmeriCorps

Nicole is originally from Buford, Georgia and recently graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.A. in environmental biology and a minor in Chinese language and culture. This past summer, she worked as a biological science technician for the Forest Service traveling and camping across Eastern Washington conducting ecological monitoring. She was previously a research assistant at the WashU School of Medicine and was an interpretive intern at Zion National Park, which started her love of outdoor education. Her passion for conservation biology and ecology drove her to the TSS AmeriCorps program with the opportunity to learn more about the greater Yellowstone ecosystem and share her love for the outdoors and place-based education with others. In her free time, she enjoys any kind of outdoor activity, reading, and painting, and is in the process of learning how to ski!

Cami Burke

AmeriCorps

Originally from California, Cameron (Cami) grew up in Park City, Utah learning to bake, make art, ski, horseback ride, and appreciate all things outside. To explore her interests in biodiversity and conservation, Cami attended Boston College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies. At BC, she served as president of Outdoor Adventures, an organization that introduces BC students to the New England wilderness. In her senior year, Cami built upon her experience at a summer internship by writing a thesis about Indigenous Peoples’ involvement in energy marketplaces. Following her graduation, Cami worked as a naturalist and wrangler in Jackson, where she embraced place-based education as she taught visitors about the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. This led her to serve with TSS through AmeriCorps, hoping to live out her alma mater’s motto—“Becoming men and women for others”—in one of the most beautiful places on earth!

Colin Corde

AmeriCorps

Colin graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey in 2022 with a BA in English and Literature Studies, concentrating in creative writing. Having grown up in New Jersey, right alongside the Appalachian Trail, Colin has always been surrounded by beautiful wilderness. It should be no wonder, then, that he has been drawn to all things 'outdoors.' In 2023, Colin served with AmeriCorps through Rocky Mountain Youth Corps, where he and his crew of fellow conservationists helped protect the wonderful Colorado environs. Apart from being an avid outdoorsman, Colin has worked as an educator for many years. He has taught kindergarteners and college freshmen, and everything in-between! With TSS, Colin hopes to branch out of the usual classroom setting and combine his passion for education and the outdoors, and he is excited for the enrichment it will bring to teacher and student alike!

Reilly Reinhold

AmeriCorps

Reilly graduated with a BS in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida (go Knights!) in the spring of 2023. Although Reilly was born and raised in Indiana and is a Hoosier at heart, she’s spent the last six years soaking up the sun in Florida. During her time in the sunshine state, she gained extensive experience working with children in traditional classroom settings, afterschool programs, and even those in long-term hospital care. Reilly’s passion is watering the seeds that are her students and watching them grow! When she is not teaching, tutoring, or mentoring you can find her reading, kayaking, cooking, or drinking obscene amounts of caffeine. Reilly is buzzing with excitement to explore the beauty of Wyoming and the opportunity to work with students in new and innovative ways.

Eliza Lindley

AmeriCorps

Eliza graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in May 2023 with bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Science and Life Sciences Communication, as well as a certificate in Sustainability. She then took off for California, where she spent a season working for the National Park Service in Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks as an aquatic bioscience technician. While she loved being out in the field, chatting with hikers on the trail about the project was one of her favorite parts of the job. Reaffirming this passion for education & outreach inspired her to join the Montana Conservation Corps’ Big Sky Watershed Corps program, through which she was placed with the National Wildlife Federation. In this role, she got to spend 2024 encouraging people all over Missoula to create wildlife habitat in their gardens and outdoor spaces! She’s thrilled to be continuing her service as an AmeriCorps member with Teton Science Schools, and she looks forward to growing as an educator by gaining experience in place-based learning and hands-on STEM education. In her spare time, you can find Eliza roaming around outside, writing subpar poetry, or attempting to play her new banjo named Marsha.
