Sam Goldberg

Sam Goldberg

Hi, I'm Sam Goldberg! I graduated from Elon University with a Bachelor of Science in Outdoor Leadership and Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Media Analytics. I've spent time working as a rappelling and climbing guide in Brevard, North Carolina, and at Elon Challenge, where I developed experiential education programs for diverse groups. I chose to join AmeriCorps at Teton Science Schools because I'm passionate about experiential education and place based learning. I am seeking more experience in the formal teaching world and I am looking forward to being in the Tetons, advancing my skills in environmental education. When I'm not teaching or exploring the outdoors, I'm an avid rock climber, highliner, skier, and mountain biker. I am constantly seeking new adventures in the wilderness.

Tucker graduated from Whitman College with a BA in History and Chinese last year (May ‘22). He has spent the last 365+ days working for the US forest service, making coffee for a living (though he still sucks at it), and traveling abroad. Although he grew up in the massive urban complex that is Hong Kong, he’s come to love the wide open spaces of the Western United States. In his spare time he can be found running, doing the crossword, and watching food videos on YouTube. He’s excited to get outside, connect with others, and learn from the dreamscape that is the Tetons this winter with TSS.

Guided by all things nature, Zander has worked all over the world as a steward of the land. She graduated with a degree in Hospitality Management from California State University Long Beach. This degree, plus her love for nature, led her to work in the hospitality sector of many National Parks, including Grand Teton and Yellowstone. She leaped into the outdoor education field in 2021 at Glacier National Park as an educational hiking guide. This solidified her personal goal of helping people get outside and experience the wonders of nature. In her free time, you can find her in the backcountry finding her next favorite campsite or cooking for the ones she loves. Zander is excited to continue growing her teaching skills, while providing equal opportunities for all students.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, camping, and playing music in beautiful places.
