Jackson Campus
AmeriCorps members live on the Jackson Campus of Teton Science Schools in Coyote Canyon. The campus consists of nine buildings serving Field Education Programs, our pre-K – 12th grade Journeys School, our challenge course and administrative teams. Our Jackson Campus runs programming year round and is typically a busy place. The canyon is located within a migration corridor and there are often wildlife sightings of mule deer, foxes, coyotes, and moose.
Food and Lodging
Room and board is included within the term of service. Members have access to meals served regularly at 7:30am and 5:30pm when participants are staying on campus, and access to a shared campus staff refrigerator that is regularly stocked with food. A food stipend is not provided. Members also have access to a shared staff lounge refrigerator and kitchen where they do some of their own cooking.
TSS hosts visiting participants in two residential lodges on the Jackson Campus. AmeriCorps members live on the third floors of these lodges with up to two roommates. Each room has twin beds, dressers, and a bathroom plus shower room.
Life Outside of Coyote Canyon
Our Jackson Campus is about two miles from a grocery store and four miles from downtown Jackson. We are located on the Teton County bike path network, which provides easy access to downtown Jackson, Teton Village and surrounding areas. There is no direct bus service to Coyote Canyon.
With Grand Teton National Park right in our backyard and various trail systems close to town, there is plenty to do and see! On off days, members are often out exploring, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, wildlife watching, biking, swimming, climbing, or participating in community events.
