Preschool Stories Night

Early childhood educators join us on November 8 to find inspiration and connection as presenters offer a glimpse into their spaces and share stories that illustrate place-based education.

Community Impact = Inquiry + Design

Place-based education can give students the curiosity, skills, and agency to positively impact their communities. In this 90-minute session, explore and discuss the place-based principles of inquiry and design thinking, hear inspiring examples of impact projects, and envision community impact for your own students. You’ll leave with place-based tools you can immediately apply in your own context with students.

Understanding Your Place

In this 90-minute virtual workshop, get to know your place through inquiry, exploration, and reflection by engaging in a virtual place-based scavenger hunt. Then dig more deeply to uncover a story about your place to deepen your own understanding of your community’s history and current events.

In Mud: Nature-Based Early Childhood Education Webinar

Get inspired to work with children in our natural environments through watching this recording from the April 2020 In Mud program. Join keynote speaker Colleen Million and faculty from the Teton Science Schools to learn about and hear reflections on gardening with children in the context of nature-based and Reggio Emilia-inspired teaching and learning.

Transitioning to Distance Learning Webinar

This recorded workshop is designed for participants interested in learning about how we connected with our children and parents when we were forced into distance learning as well as practical how-to tips for using iMovie, youtube and youtube playlists, google docs and zoom meetings that could improve the way you work with children and families in the future regardless of stay at home orders.
