In this 90-minute session, explore and discuss the place-based principles of inquiry and design thinking, hear inspiring examples of impact projects, and envision community impact for your own students. You’ll leave with place-based tools you can immediately apply in your own context with students.
Understanding Your Place

In this 90-minute virtual workshop, get to know your place through inquiry, exploration, and reflection by engaging in a virtual place-based scavenger hunt. Then dig more deeply to uncover a story about your place to deepen your own understanding of your community’s history and current events.
Place-Based Education Deep Dive: Virtual Book Study

In this virtual course, teacher participants will have the opportunity to go deeper into topics of place-based education through a book study.
